Let's Continue with Escape From Everest

Remember your class challenge  The entire class must work as a TEAM!

Let's see which Period of Rickard Math can complete this mission WITHOUT ANYONE DYING!

This means working together, no hoarding resources, sharing, planning, and cooperating!

YOUR CHALLENGE:
The class must discover what has happened to the Earth after being asleep for 200 years. You must work together to balance environmental concerns with the demands of technological progress. Players wake up in a bunker beneath the summit of Mt. Everest, which they soon discover is the only spot of dry land left on the planet. The ice caps have melted and raised sea levels, devastating all life on the planet.
You have multiple goals:
  • "re-green" the earth by cultivating new trees on the surface.
  • build a Signal Rocket and contact other humans who are living in space

There are also several side goals and hidden chests to find. There are activities for many types of players and multiple ways to contribute...
Have fun! Hope you survive!

5-26-2016 Graphing Using Box Plots and Histograms

Students who have CPM books at home, please bring them back to class.

Today's Assignment
CPM 8.2.2

Enter your mean data for your robin sample set here!

See data here

Click here for Desmos eTool for creating Histograms and Box Plots

From CPM 7.1.1 Histograms
A histogram is similar to a bar graph in that each bar represents data in an interval of numbers. The intervals for the data are shown on the horizontal axis, and the frequency (number of pieces of data in each interval) is represented by the height of a bar above the interval.

The labels on the horizontal axis represent the lower end of each interval. For example, the histogram at right shows that 10 students take at least 15 minutes but less than 30 minutes to get to school.

Histograms are used to display numeric data with an order, while bar graphs display data in categories where order generally does not matter.
